Item Description
10.25x15.25" and a little over 1" thick w/all edges of the pages having a gilt application as well as the school's insignia on cover. Title page has "Groton/At The Groton School Press/MCMXIII" at bottom. Published by students at the school in 1913. FDR is featured in "The Graduates, 1900" and identified under the photo as "F. Roosevelt." FDR is also pictured in class pictures "1896-1897", "1898-1899", "1899-1900" and in "A Group Of Graduates Present At The Consecration Of The Chapel." Cover has corner bump at bottom right and the top of the spine has moderate fraying of the cloth covering. Pages have only light age toning at extreme edges. VF. FDR attended the college preparatory school before heading to Harvard.  He was elected to the New York State Senate in 1910 and was appointed Secretary of The Navy in 1913, the same year as the publication of this rare text. Produced in extremely limited quantities and only available to past graduates or employees of the elite institution. Only the second example we have encountered in our 50 years.
