Item Description
1-7/16" missing back paper but known to have been produced by Williamson Stamp Co. in Minneapolis. Text on the button relates to Father Cox, a Pittsburgh priest who led a large group of unemployed to Washington in 1932 to take part in the protests which were staged to get Congress to pay the promised bonus to (largely unemployed) World War I veterans immediately rather than in 1945 as the legislation passed in 1924 had stipulated. Scattered tiny dots of light brown toning w/95% contained to the outer margins barely affecting text. VF. Rare.
