Item Description
Oversized 10-1/8x13.25" comic book, a "Limited Collector's Golden Mint Series" published by DC Comics in 1979. This is Vol. 8, No. C-61. A reprint of "Superman" #1 (June, 1939), this edition was signed in black felt tip pen by Superman's creators Jerry Siegel (1914-1996) and Joe Shuster (1914-1992) on front cover; Siegel signing just above Superman image, Shuster just below. This was one of only 250 copies signed by the pair and released in recognition of Superman's 60th Anniversary in 1998. While some of those 250 issues were signed on inside cover, this example has a very desirable signed front cover. Issue has some handling wear w/minor pinch creases and color rubs to spine. Corner creases at lower right. Fine overall. Signatures are Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and COA signed by Siegel's widow Joanne. Franco Toscanini Collection.
