Item Description
1" w/W&H back paper. 1907. A moderate amount of vertical and horizontal hairline surface scratches w/two just left of Taft going down to the surface paper. Additionally we note dots of toning visible on reverse collet w/one faint spot affecting the text "Iowa." Fine. Button remains structurally sound w/full gloss. Taft, then Secretary of War in Theodore Roosevelt's administration, gave the commencement speech to 400 graduates of the University of Iowa.
