Item Description
14x18" frame w/9.75x13.5" opening. Portrait taken "From A Daguerreoype By Paige & Beach Washington DC" of the New Hampshire politician and 1852 Free Soil Party candidate for President. Moderate even toning w/about half the area of Hale's chest slightly darker. VG. Remains in its original frame w/brass loop at top. Hale served in the House and Senate and is considered the first member of Congress to have an anti-slavery platform.
