Item Description
High quality bronze figure of basketball player about to shoot ball sits atop 2.75x4-1/8" cast metal base w/total height of 8.5". Front of base has custom etched nameplate w/"Wheel Cafe Trophy - C.G.A.C. - 1929 - Won By 30 - Chas. J. Chidester" text. Back of bronze figure has "WB" hallmark as well as raised "4193" number and "Made In USA" text. Bronze shows scattered wear to raised portions w/rest having nice aged patina. Base shows moderate aging w/corner tip/edge wear. Nameplate has obvious wear at left/right, not greatly affecting text, all of which remains legible. Fine overall. Neat display piece.
