Item Description
Button sizes are 7/8" to 3.5". Group begins with an award. Front is titled "National Duck Pin Bowling Congress" and reverse which has name of famous awards maker "Balfour" plus engraved text "7th Annual Tournament Baltimore, Md. 1934." Rest of the items are bowling related with those from "Kansas Women's Bowling Assn." in the bottom row. Each of these includes a ribbon dated between 1947-1957 and some with some fading or stain. Buttons in the top three rows of the photo span 1935 up to 1975. The first with bowling ball design has a single crack line across the date "1935". Next is one issued during WWII with text "I'm Bowling To Keep 'Em Rolling". Several items in the top row relate to New York groups. In second row two buttons relate to "Elks Bowling Assn. Of America". In row three the "New Jersey" button has stain spots but the rest in the group, except as noted, are Exc. to Mint. Last item in row three names Gunther's and notes their sponsorship of the Baltimore TV station program "Duck Pins And Dollars". A nice group from events across America since the 1930s.
