Item Description
Rare original illustrated cardboard box contains 4" long tin litho race car w/wooden hubs and rubber tires. Made by Joseph Schneider, c. 1936. Nicely illustrated box includes scene on two side panels of race cars for Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse and Pluto although cars were never produced for Minnie or Pluto. Box also notes "403 Mickey Mouse." Box shows some scattered handling wear w/corner tip wear and creases. Missing one end flap. Still Fine for display. These cars were produced in several colors, this is rare gray color variety. Toy works and comes w/original key. Car features separate die-cut tin driver figure of Mickey. Car has some fading and is missing exhaust pipe. Tired are aged w/cracks but all remain intact. Tiny scattered traces of paint wear. Fine overall. Rarely found w/original box.
