Item Description
The buttons in this lot are primarily 1.75" with five that are 1.25". Suspended from the button are ribbons, often in team colors, suspending a large lithograph tin 3-dimensional football that carries one of three inscriptions: Made In U.S.A.; Made In Germany; or Made In Japan. The vast majority of these, if not all, date from the 1930s. Of the 22 pieces about five have a small split where the ribbon joins the football although they still remain firmly attached. Representing the East Division are two different naming "Michigan", two more naming "Ohio State" and "Ohio" and a single one naming "Rutgers". Representing the West Division are two different for "Illinois", five different for "Minnesota", two different for "Nebraska", two different plus one duplicate naming "North Western", three different for "Purdue", and two different for "Wisconsin". The "Nebraska" button showing a player kicking has some edge marks and small marks on white background but this remains VG and the other buttons are VF to Mint. See next related group.
