Item Description
Each is 2.25" with no maker's name. Identical text on each "Oscar's Café/1703 Thames St. Baltimore, Md." The original collector of these two mirrors was from Baltimore and did a bit of research which he wrote up and which comes along with these items. In Baltimore directories listings saloons he found this establishment in the 1907 directory with the address repeated again in 1912 but by 1915 this saloon had moved to Aliceanna Street. The first mirror depicting red-headed lady in blue stockings and heels has a very tiny cello nick with tiny cello flake gone from her upper chest. Rest of the mirror has generalized surface wear but no serious damage. Silvering on this one is about 98% intact. Second mirror has about 99% silvering. This one with nude woman holding a bottle and raising a glass has light brown stain on the perimeter going inward at the most an 1/8". This one has a few light minor hairline scratches but in general much less surface wear than the first. All things considered we grade each as Fine. The only examples known to us.
