Item Description
13/16" litho by Greenduck. Includes rim slogan, shield with "UFL Organized We Win" and logo of hand raising pitchfork in protest with farm and sunburst in background. NM and first seen. This group, with a stronghold around Bismarck, North Dakota, interfered with forced farm foreclosures by preventing local sheriffs from conducting bank foreclosure auctions. While communist led, most members were simply farmers caught in the double barrel tragedy of drought in the northern plains and the nationwide economic depression. They held ND state conferences 1932 through 1934 but then disappeared.
