Item Description
Sizes are 7/8 to 1-1/8" with the largest a litho and other five cello all from the 1930s-1940s. First is Mooney in prison uniform. Second is rare slogan button for him and Billings which has air mark on 60% of front. Last is their jugate with some tan stain on lower portion. Row 2 first two related specifically to Harry Bridges and third refers to him by implication of the slogan "Stop Labor Frame-Ups". Bridges was Australian but came to USA and worked as union organizer for ILA before leaving in 1937 to begin his broader International Longshore and Warehouse Union. The US government long prosecuted him for his labor organizing and alleged subversive activity during the 1930s into the 1950s with the unrealized goal of deporting him. Row 2 #2 has some tiny air marks on "Labor" otherwise all Exc. to NM except as noted.
