Item Description
7/8" dia. and 1" tall. c. 1918. First is pewter w/striking high relief portrait of Chaplin and text at bottom "Remember!" Second is cello button w/detailed etching of Chaplin behind bars at center. Chaplin was imprisoned in 1917 under the Espionage Act Of 1917 for encouraging desertion during WWI and served four years of a 20 year term. He is also remembered for writing the poem "Solidarity Forever." Exc. displaying Mint.
