Item Description
Sizes are 3.5", 4" and 6". These are buttons 52-54 appearing on pages 137-138 of the book. First button is actually "Anti" in nature with graphics creating a face with a hand ready to pinch closed a nose to avoid the "BO" of the "Baltimore Orioles." Pin on the metal back is off to one side rather than perfectly centered but otherwise NM displaying Mint as made. Muchinsky has a book note attributing this to the 1983 World Series vs. the Philadelphia Phillies as the colors on the pin and the Phillies colors are both red and white. Next is a button worn by a vendor selling the "Official Program" for "$5.00".  Extreme edge at 9 o'clock has tiny tan mark along with near pinpoint cello nick. The piece remains about 99% Mint. Last is a 6" button with a cardboard easel back plus bar pin. Muchinsky notes in his book "The Odd-Looking Square Cutout At The 8:00 Position Was The Intended Location Of The MLB Logo In The Production Process." Tiniest bit of age tone on the white background mostly below the bat handle and a few small random marks of scattered surface wear that show in reflected light. Cardboard back has tiny bit of missing surface paper from around the pin location and a few scattered minor pinpoint age dots. Still glossy and VF.
