Item Description
Sizes are 7/8" to a pair of 3" buttons with one being a flasher reading "Chicago Cubs/Hey Hey" alternating to "We're #1" plus a plastic button with text "I (Heart) The Cubs." This has small dot of blue off the rim and the pin on the back has surface oxidation but is complete. Below this is another circular plastic button naming the "Boosters Of Central Ill." Plastic has a little yellowish tone to it but otherwise undamaged. Group begins with six buttons spanning the 1930s into the 1940s. The second button in the first row has back paper by St. Louis Button Co. The 1.75" orange button with suspensions has inked date on the back of the ribbon "2-4-55". The keychain and charms are darkened but the rest of the piece is essentially Mint. Fourth is a litho from a set of 16 issued in the late 1930s or so by American Nut & Chocolate Co. In row 2 is a plastic bar pin suspending wooden bat and plastic catchers mitt with glove. Inscription is simply "Cubs" on the bar pin which has a slight curve to it. Next is "I'm A WGN Cubs Fan". This appears to be c. 1950s. Last is the one book plate example an 1.25" size reading "Chicago Cubs" appearing as item #5 on page 205 of the book. All are Exc. to Mint except as noted. Many rarities.
