Item Description
Sizes are 1.75" to 3.5". Group begins with a pair of rarities, the first naming "1966/N.Y. Mets/Champs" and the second reading "I Boost The Mets." The first has a slightly darker bit of orange to the right of the word "Champs" and along the right edge but this is the only hint that the orange color has faded somewhat over time. Clean and glossy. Second item has a little tone to the cream background and the blue printing is not as heavy as it may have once been but the button still displays Exc. Third button is same design as Muchinsky #7 on page 235 but this is not the plate example and the reverse collet has rather heavy oxidation although the celluloid remains totally clean. Fourth is a scarce "Go! Mets Go!" flasher. Edge carries copyright symbol and "Metropolitan Baseball Club Inc." Reverse names maker Dimensional Research. Trivial hairline of paint off the back reverse edge but front displays essentially Mint. Fifth button is a plate example shown as #10 on page 235. This reads "Booster Mets." Sixth button again is similar to a book example shown as #27 on page 237 but this example has darker orange color and is an earlier issue with heavier layer of acetate covering. Curl carries the copyright "Metropolitan Baseball Club, Inc." Last is advertising button promoting the Long Island publication "News Day" with a large numeral "1" and full text "No. 1/Mets/Jets/Newsday." Items are Exc. to Mint except as noted. Many rarities.
