Item Description
16.25x21.25” full page ad ran in the Atlanta Georgian on Friday, April 27, 1934. Art with text reading “Now!! 16 Pages Of Comics Every Sunday! Flash Gordon By Alexander Raymond. Sensational New Sunday American Adventure Comic.” Also has small text detailing storyline for Flash Gordon as well as captioned art panels. Bottom half of page is devoted to “Way Out West” comic and middle of page has panel listing other comics that ran on Sundays including: Bringing Up Father, Popeye, Mickey Mouse, Felix the Cat, Toonerville Folks, Blondie and the Katzenjammer Kids among others. Right-hand side has some unevenness as it was removed from newspaper. Bottom left-hand corner has minute chip and page was evenly tanned with age. Light handling wear, mostly evident at top margin. Faint crease running at center as issued. VF.
