Item Description
This ring has gorgeous lustrous silver finish and is the best example known to us. It comes to market after spending 25 years in an advanced Superman collection. The ring is silvered brass and has a solid band with this one a child's ring size 4-1/4. When Hake's Pop Culture Memorabilia Guide was published in 2008, this example was unknown to us and we knew of a total in all  conditions of 27 examples. However, in the higher grades only two were counted as VF and two as NM. This example is unimprovable and with 100% bright and gleaming silver luster thus becoming the only known (to us) Mint example. The Hake guide lists this as 1940s: however, we dug a little deeper and have now documented the ring to 1948 because the 1948 "Secret Code" symbols on the club membership card for that year from National Comics Publications allows the symbols on the left and right sides of this ring to be translated into the words "Good Luck". Ring top has full figure of Superman in a flying position with the club initials below "ST". Consignor has agreed to a modest opening so bidders will set the final value.
