Item Description
Pair of thin cardboard proof sheets, measuring approx. 22x23" w/color bars. Proofs are for silver box versions of Entex Electronics 1982 games "Arcade Super Alien Invader 2" and "Arcade Defender Electronic Game" though final boxes were white, not silver. Proofs consist of full front design w/four sides and have been trimmed at left, removing most of the box back, resulting in slightly uneven left margin. Box design features great sci-fi art by Otto Kuhni, who worked from the 1960s until his death this year, including some projects for Mattel that predate his involvement w/Hot Wheels (for which he is predominantly known) in 1967 and the Battlestar Galactica line in the 1980s. Kuhni also produced freelance work for Lockheed, McDonald Douglas, Max Factor, L.M. Cox, Challenge Publications, Galoob and Tyco among others. Evenly aged w/some moisture staining at lower right corners and moderate corner tip wear at upper right. Fine/VF overall, but could be framed for nice display for your gaming room. From the Kuhni Estate.
