Item Description
Galoob 1990s. Lot of five lead pencil preliminary packaging original artwork on layout bond, two measuring 8.5x10.75", two 9x14" and one at 9x22". For the boxes of military and space themed playsets by Galoob MicroMachines. Art for "Alien Pitfall, Space Base, Skull Canyon, Strato Fortress" and "Sneak Attack." Box design layouts feature great original art by Otto Kuhni, who worked from the 1960s until his death this year, including some projects for Mattel that predate his involvement w/Hot Wheels (for which he is predominantly known) in 1967 and the Battlestar Galactica line in the 1980s. Kuhni also produced freelance work for Lockheed, McDonald Douglas, Max Factor, L.M. Cox, Challenge Publications, Galoob and Tyco among others. Evenly aged w/some folds and a few small edge tears. "Alien Pitfall" has some cut-outs/paste-ins that have some edge tanning where glued. Fine/VF overall. From the Kuhni Estate.
