Item Description
3.25x4.25" brass frame contain quarter plate tintype showing Union soldier in full uniform including kepi, posing in front of painted backdrop. Soldier stands at attention w/rifle and bayonet. Hand-tinted w/gold accents added to uniforms buttons and buckle and daguerreotype has had coating added (likely vintage). Brass frame has some scattered tarnish/aging and daguerreotype has some handling wear w/moderate 2" bend at upper right, though image still displays nicely. Fine overall.
