Item Description
1-7/16x2-5/8". The lot of 14 consists of examples from El Principe De Gales, Piedmont, Sweet Caporal, and Old Mill in a condition range of SGC 10 Poor 1 to 50 VG/EX 4. Full list of grades, players, and back types include: 10 Poor 1 - Topsy Hartsel (Sweet Caporal); 20 Fair 1.5 - Rube Oldring and Ed Willets (both Old Mill Cigarettes), Jimmy Sheckard and Ed Reulbach (both Piedmont Cigarettes); 30 Good 2 - Doc White, Fred Snodgrass and Jim Delehanty (all Old Mill Cigarettes) and Mike Donlin (El Principe De Gales); 40 VG 3 - Frank Oberlin, Harry Hinchman, Mickey Doolan and Chief Myers (all Old Mill Cigarettes); 50 VG/EX 4 - Rube Manning. The nickname for this all-time classic set is "The Monster" and for good reason. It is the most widely recognizable set in and out of the hobby mainly due to the Honus Wagner card. It is extremely difficult to complete a set not only for the rare and valuable examples within, but the combination of advertisers on backs, which makes completing any set variety a challenge for collectors of all levels.
