Item Description
Style B one-sheet poster has had slight margin trim, resulting in overall size of 26.75x38.25". For the original 1937 release of Disney's "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs," poster features stunning artwork by Gustaf Tenggren, a chief illustrator for Disney in the late 1930s. Promotional text at top reads "His First Full Length Feature Production" w/Tenggren's images of Snow White, all Seven Dwarfs, the Hunstman, the Prince, Evil Queen as well as her witch form in front of the castle in bkg. Folded as issued, poster shows obvious aging and wear, w/pinholes at corners and along margins, upper right having large pull, resulting in .5x1-3/8" corner piece off. Lower left fold line has .25" edge chip. Some scattered moisture staining at bottom right, including to oval containing film's title. 2" archival tape repair at center left fold line. Several archival tape repairs on back to tears along fold lines and at margins. Moderate small tears along fold lines and at fold crease intersections, w/archival tape repair to 3/8" hole by "S" in "Snow." Center vertical fold shows moderate creasing at top. Despite issues, poster art remains clean for the most part and would still display nicely if framed and would benefit from linen-mounting and/or professional restoration. Good/VG. One of the all-time classic Disney movie posters.
