Item Description
9.5x12" sheet of animation paper has 5-7/8x7-7/8" image area w/lead pencil drawing showing Big Bad Wolf dressed as fairy queen holding star-tipped wand and attached by suspenders to tree limb, giving him the appearance of floating in midair. "He Waved His Wand As He Flew About - P.25 Color" lead pencil caption at top, designating art is done for page 25 of "The Big Bad Wolf And Little Red Riding Hood" book published in 1934 by Blue Ribbon Books, Inc. Sheet has barely noticeable faint horizontal crease through center and along left margin, o/w image area is Exc. Extremely well done and closely matching finished art in book, which was altered only the slightest for published color page. A classic humorous image. Comes w/reading copy of the book this art was used for.
