Item Description
1.25" w/concave metal back having "Pin-Lock Co" imprint and horizontal bar pin. The 1904 Democratic candidates are pictured w/the first and second Presidents each occupying a petal of a four leaf clover. This button appears to be a mate to the TR/Fairbanks in lot #195. Here w/Washington, in place of Lincoln, representing a founding father and Jefferson, in place of Monroe, as the chief architect of the Louisiana Purchase. Tiny bump in field above Davis' portrait. Otherwise only light surface wear in reflected light. NM displaying Mint as made. This size is unlisted in Hake, see next lot for also unlisted 7/8" variety.
