Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid label contains 6" long painted tin car w/tin litho dashboard marked "Schuco Radio" w/musical notes. Made in US Zone Germany by Schuco w/interior music box made in Switzerland by Thorens. c. 1950s. Box lid has one corner split w/some missing surface paper at this area and seam split to side of box bottom. Lid label shows some scattered wear. Box is Fine overall. Music box winds on underside of car w/dashboard on/off switch. Wind-up motor is on side and comes w/Schuco key. Plated parts include bumper and grille. Has vinyl antenna which moves up/down. Front wheels are manually-operated by using steering wheel. Car works as does music box, playing "Auf Wiedersehen" as note of lid label. Scarcer cream color variety. Shows just lt. wear/aging and is Exc. Great concept and wonderful design.
