Item Description
Colorful illustrated cardboard box contains 7.25" long painted tin convertible w/detailed tin litho dash, rubber tires on red plastic hubs, plated bumpers, grille/headlights. Made in Western Germany by Schuco, 1950s. Comes w/illustrated instructions in four languages. Box shows moderate scattered edge/corner tip wear w/some scattered surface paper lifts. Fine. Underside of car has both "Schuco" and "Examico II 4004" names. Toy has unusual feature; an embossed and plated medallion on front of hood w/car image and "Schuco" name. Plastic steering wheel controls rack and pinion steering of front wheels. Has Schuco key. Wind-up functions work - car has neutral, reverse and four forward speeds using gear shifter. Clear plastic windshield is evenly aged but o/w car shows little to no wear and is NM, old store stock.
