Item Description
27.25x41" original release one-sheet for 1948 Columbia 15 chapter serial that starred Kirk Alyn as Superman. For Chapter 13, "Hurled To Destruction." Poster features choice artwork plus inset film scene, featuring Superman entering tall building's window. Poster was originally folded and has now been linen-mounted. Poster has minimal professional restoration along fold lines and at fold crease intersections w/some restoration at margins, including 5.5" long section at lower left. Main poster image remains bright and clean and would make for nice display if matted and framed. Now displays VF as restored. This poster was from the personal collection of "Superman" actor Alyn, and had been in his collection since original release. Alyn has signed in black felt tip pen at bottom right (above credits), adding "'Superman'" name. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
