Item Description
9x11.75" illustrated envelope contains complete kit issued by Marvelmania in 1970 (this would be their last kit despite a second kit being advertised; the club disbanded in 1970 before the second kit was produced) consisting of 38 pages, each 8.5x11" w/reproductions of comic covers, pages and portfolio pages; 104 in total. The kit is divided into four sets - 12 full page images on 12 pages; 24 half-page images of 12 pages; 44 quarter-pages on 11 pages; and 24 eighth-page images on three pages. Kit also includes club catalog (featuring a two-page spread on the silver Marvelmania Marx Super-Hero Models), membership certificate, membership card, magazine subscription form and catalog sheet order form. Both membership certificate and card are unused. Card is aged and has corner crease. Fine/VF. Certificate has some corner bumps and is VF/Exc. Other contents are Exc. to NM. Envelope shows moderate wear and is VG. Comes w/handwritten letter addressed to same recipient as on envelope concerning some mailing issues, Letter is dated Dec. 16, 1970 and has printed image of Iron Man. Folded as mailed w/some handling wear.
