Item Description
8.5x10.75" typed letter on "W.C. Fields" letterhead is dated May 5, 1935 and is addressed to fan who sent clipping to "Lambs Club" that was forwarded to Fields (1880-1946). Fields goes on to note the sender's article on handwriting and that Fields planned to keep it "And Read It Again And Again And Try To Be The Nice Person You Credit Me With Being." Of particular note, Fields has simply signed "Bill" in black ink above typed "Bill Fields" name. Letter has been folded into quarters as mailed and has strip of aging along right margin. VF overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
