21.25x29”. ©1952 by Hagstrom Company Inc. Highly detailed map has border with famous pirate names including Long Benn Avery, Jean Lafitte, Sir Henry Morgan, Blackbeard and Dixey Bull. Map has locations of pirate treasure and illustrations of ships sailed by pirates. Bottom center margin has nicely illustrated title “The Map Of Famous Pirates, Buccaneers And Freebooters Who Roamed The Seas During The Seventeenth And Eighteenth Century.” On either side of title is nice image of a “Buccaneer” and a peg-legged “Pirate-Chief.” Nice picture of “The Jolly Roger” flag at lower right-hand corner. Folded as issued. .25” tears at fold crease intersections. Lightly aged. Exc. for display. Rare and first we’ve seen.
