Item Description
Lot of 15 paper documents measuring between 3.25x5-7/8" to 13.25x16-1/8" and dating to the Revolutionary War, all pertaining to activities in Connecticut. These include a roster list for 2nd Regiment Light Dragoons, payment vouchers (including one for service in the Connecticut Line of the Continental Army), sales receipt (for 112 gallons of rum and another for officer's military uniform), "Regiment Of Light Dragoons For Officers Clothing" bill for clothing for army uniforms (which included flannel shirts, stockings, shoes, overalls, frocks, linen shirts, etc.), note concerning seizure of estate belonging to British sympathizers, ledgers and detailed roster w/clothing ledgers (bound w/string) and registers detailing costs of various supplies. Sheets show expected aging and lt. general wear. Clothing ledger shows moderate edge wear and is VG while rest is Fine to VF overall. An interesting collection of ephemera related to Connecticut during the Revolutionary War.
