Item Description
Kit No. 426-98. ©1963 Universal Pictures Co., Inc. This is an original first issue box. Production of the original issue of the Hunchback box was halted in 1965 after objections were raised by actor Anthony Quinn, who complained the box art bore a definite likeness to his portrayal of the character in the 1956 film. The art was replaced w/modified art featuring the Hunchback w/shaggier hair (see following item #1998). Box lid has corner tip/edge wear w/some color rubs and small surface paper tears at bottom right corner wear covering meets. Lid has some corner creases. Box is Fine overall. Kit is complete w/original instructions, w/a few pieces still on sprues. Instruction sheet has lt. even aging and contents are o/w NM.
