Item Description
Glossy 7x9.25" original Type 1 News Service photo dated 1956 on back shows Frank "Home Run" Baker (1886-1963) and Mickey Mantle (1931-1995), both of whom hold baseball bats, Mantle's being comically oversized. Back of photo has attached typed caption titled "Slugger Meets Slugger" w/text regarding the meeting of the two New York Yankees legends and MLB HOF members at the 1956 White Sox-Yankees Old Timers Game held at Yankee Stadium. Photo has some scattered handling wear and caption sheet is evenly aged w/some scattered wear to bottom margin. Back also has remnant from other sheet once attached and back has library stamp w/handwritten date. Fine/VF overall. Comes with PSA/DNA LOA.
