Item Description
Larger 7x9x2.25" deep illustrated box w/die-cut display lid contains complete set by Acme Plastic Toys, Inc. ©1947 Detective Comics, Inc. Front/back side panels feature different action illustrations in filmstrip style. Box is complete w/illustrated die-cut insert featuring Superman images (though totally different from previous items #1774-1775). Die-cut lid design has been punched. Box lid has some replaced strips at top edge and shows moderate wear w/glue/glue staining along left edge and archival tape repairs/reinforcements added on underside. Box is VG overall. Boxed set was issued w/just two boxed films, but these are larger size filmstrips that previous items #1774-1775 as well as larger, 3.5" wide hard plastic viewer. Set is complete w/films 1 and 2 and also comes w/three additional boxed films (3, 7 and 9) and two loose filmstrips (5-6). Films are Exc. Viewer is missing eye lens but is o/w Exc. Franco Toscanini Collection.
