Item Description
2.25x5-3/8x1-1/8" deep colorful box has die-cut display lid featuring images of Andy Gump, Harold Teen, Smitty, Little Orphan Annie and Dick Tracy. Front and back panels feature Smilin' Jack, Skeezix, The Fire Chief and Kayo. Acme Plastic Toys, Inc. 1947. Box originally contained five 2" tall film boxes (Superman numbers 3-7 as noted on label on side of box) and comes w/complete set of 12 "Superman" films (for use w/Acme sets, see previous items #1774-1775); each numbered filmstrip being correct issue to box text. Main box has some scattered aging/handling wear w/.25" tear at punched display lid and some corner tip wear. VG/Fine. Film boxes have some scattered aging/wear; most are VF to Exc. Scarce to find as a complete set. Franco Toscanini Collection.
