Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid label contains 7" tall celluloid Betty Boop figure mounted on 2.5" dia. painted tin base. Made in Japan, c. 1930s. Box label features image of toy w/"Betty-Boop Des. & Copyright By Fleischer Studios - Made In Japan" text. Label has some scattered staining and edge/corner chipping and is VG. Box lid has two corner splits and box has some staple oxidation. Box is Fine overall. Betty's leg has heart-shaped name/copyright sticker and has has small inspection sticker. Label shows some wear as applied and has some aging. Figure's separate celluloid head is mounted to nodding mechanism w/attached counter-weight. Underside of base has winder mechanism. Works. Celluloid body has some faint age spotting but still displays VF overall w/no dents/cracks. Classic toy for this iconic 1930s character.
