Item Description
7.5x9.75x2.25" deep paper-covered cardboard box w/"Toy Tea Set" label on side contains complete 11-pieces set. Made in Japan, 1930s. Box is complete w/die-cut insert and has some warping to sides w/edge splits and some corner tip wear to lid. Box is VG/Fine overall. White lustreware w/blue/black accents four place setting w/four 1-1/8" tall teacups, four 3.25" dia. saucers, 2" tall sugar bowl (w/lid), 1.5" tall open creamer and 2-7/8" tall tea pot (w/lid). Teacups, saucers, sugar bowl and creamer all feature same image of long-billed Donald Duck standing w/his hand on his hips whereas teapot features different image of him waving his hat. Undersides of sugar bowl and creamer are stamped "Made In Japan" and teapot has same stamped text w/additional "Donald Duck - Copr. By Walt E. Disney" text. Set shows some lt. aging but is o/w Exc.
