Item Description
8" tall jointed wooden doll w/movable composition head. J. Chein & Co. ©1932 King Features Syndicate. This is version sold at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair ad doll has "Hall Of Science - A Century Of Progress - Chicago - 1933" decal on front of showing showing the Hall of Science. Jutting pipe inserted into the corner of mouth has miniature wooden bowl on wire rod. Bill of Popeye's cap is cello disc, which has some edge wear. Each forearm has "Popeye" anchor symbol decal. Underside of one foot has Chein decal (which shows moderate wear) while other has partial copyright stamp. Doll has tight elastic stringing and stands independently. Some scattered aging and wear w/some tiny paint flakes off collar, but VF overall.
