Item Description
7.5x11" retailer's promotional folder promotes Post's cereal 1949 "Famous Hollywood Flip Movies" premium inserts, noting "12 Different Flip Movies - Each A Double Feature - One Full Color Movie - One Black And White Movie." Front show children using flip books and another removing "Tom & Jerry - Spin Dizzy" flip book from oversized box of Post's "Grape-Nuts Flakes" cereal, the box itself advertising Woody Woodpecker, Andy Panda and Tom & Jerry. Folder opens to show additional cartoon characters including Droopy Dog, Barney Bear, Charlie Chicken, Buzz Buzzard, Oswald Rabbit and Wally Walrus as well as showing all 12 of the premium flip books actual size. Back of folder shows Post's cereals and various premium promotions. Folder has crease across top and some scattered handling wear but is VF overall. Rare and first we've seen in our 50 years. Comes w/three 1.5x1-5/8" flip books - # 2, 8-9. These show some aging and wear w/#9 having corner tip off front cover. Fine to VF overall. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
