Item Description
14x16.25" sheet of vellum has mixed media original art depicting display stand to keep "Comic Library" series of flip books in. 1930s. Display features portraits of the following characters - Emmy Plushbottom (Moon Mullins), Little Orphan Annie, Harold Teen, Andy Gump (The Gumps), Herbie (Smitty), Shadow (Harold Teen) and Dick Tracy. Hand-lettered text on front of box includes name of each series (some of which shows moderate wear w/paint flakes) Sheet has been folded into eighths w/vertical fold line at center and three horizontal fold lines. Sheet has uneven margins as trimmed and some transference as folded. Text at bottom of box front is mostly illegible due to paint flaking but refers to the flip books. Fine overall. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
