Item Description
11x16" artboard has pen and ink original art by Don Simpson for first page of "A Chunk At The JLI" story from "The Flash" Annual #3, published by DC Comics in 1989. Page features over half page splash panel w/Chunk and Flash (Wally West) discussing Boom Tube technology making it easier for Flash to get to Justice League International (JLI) embassies. Flash is seen w/his mask off and holding an immense unfolded manual (which has creative team's names on each panel. Bottom two panels feature Chunk wishing he could be a member of Justice League Europe (JLE) and Flash doubting his membership. Flash appears in two panels (both w/o his mask) and Chunk is in all three. Bottom margin has black felt tip pen "To Brian - Godspeed!" inscription and art has been signed by Simpson. Stamped "Flash Annual #3" notation at top margin w/some blue pencil editorial notations along right margin. Top margin has been trimmed, not affecting art. Artboard has slightly aged strip of tape at top/bottom center margin, but art is clean and Exc.
