This elaborate display is c. 1952 and complete with set of four individually boxed watches as issued. The die-cut stiff cardboard merry-go-round unit has 14" dia. with height of 15". Complete with 15 wooden dowels that connect canopy to platform base. One dowel is missing round tip from top. Although not shown in our photo, comes with separate pennant that attaches to top noting $6.95 price per watch. Designed with 5 awnings, one noting "Timex," the others have names for the four watches with this display which are "Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Snow White, Hopalong Cassidy." The Mickey and Cinderella awning pieces are loose but could be re-attached. Display is complete with instruction sheet and working motorized unit that the display sits on. This rotates the display. Instruction sheet noticeably aged. Display has scattered trace of aging with dust soiling and small traces of staple rust on the canopy. Still displays VF. Each watch comes in specially-designed packaging with different inserts/accessories. Mickey has die-cut figure to hold the watch. Packaging has scattered aging, face of insert has .5" spot of missing surface paper with touch-up. Fine. Watch has red plastic case which is Exc., yellow fabric bands have aging. Cinderella is round-style box, has plastic shoe that holds the watch. Light wear to packaging, VF. Fabric band has fading but still has the foil sticker attached, watch itself is Exc. Snow White box is designed with "magic mirror" insert although this has noticeable surface wear to the silver backing. Box has additional moderate scattered aging, Fine. Watch shows wear with yellowed crystal and aging to the fabric band. Fine. Hoppy packaging includes die-cut cardboard saddle that holds the watch. Box has moderate scattered wear/aging with .5" surface paper lift along one bottom edge. Fine. Watch NM. An exceptional display, first we've seen.
