Item Description
13.25x22.25" frame w/12.25x21.25" opening. Headline text "Here We Come Again! 'All Aboard.'" The print depicts a series of satirical cartoons and comments applying to actual people and places in Harrisburg, PA. At bottom center is a graphic of a ticket w/text "Salt River Packet Line/From Harrisburg To Salt River To Remain There Until Doomsday, Unless Otherwise Ordered" and having "Grover Cleveland, President/Adlai Stevenson, Vice President" at bottom. Ink inscription at top center "1892." Missing .25" at each corner and a .25x.5" loss at top center affecting the "O" in "Come". Also well flattened vertical and horizontal folds w/two tiny holes at center junctions. Displays VF. This piece provides a great window into the snarky local politics of the 1892 campaign and is as humorous as it is historic. First we've seen.
