Item Description
2.25" w/illustration of LBJ and center slogan "Rex Clawson Wages His 1964 War On Politics." Additional rim text has dates and name of his gallery in NYC "Royal-Athena." Clawson, born in Dallas, TX, spent the 1960s in New York City where he had several shows using art to satirize the politics of the day and his shows were praised in such publications as the New York Times, Time Magazine and Art News. Button has some light surface scratching that shows in reflected light. Still displays cleanly and w/full gloss. A very limited issue by the gallery and only about the fourth example we've seen. Rare.
