Item Description
5.75x8.25x1" deep box has art of Betty Boop, Bimbo and Koko the Clown w/two die-cut windows at bottom revealing crayons and larger die-cut window at top has paper "film" showing Betty as big cat tamer. Box has two wooden spools at top and bottom for winding which reveal several scenes from "Betty Boop's Circus." Maker is unknown but box is marked "No. 40," copyright Fleischer Studios, c. 1935. Beginning of strip has area of dark age tanning w/1.25" split and creases and area exposed by main window has some even aging. Strip is uncolored and VG overall. Original crayons appear unused but have melted somewhat and papers are aged. One has crack. VG. Box features great illustrations and shows some lt. scattered handling wear/aging and is Fine overall. Rare and just the second example we've offered in our 51 years.
