Item Description
5-5/8x6.25" box of paper filmstrips by Durable Toy And Novelty Corporation, 1930s. Original box has die-cut display lid (punched w/.5" tear at top center) holds six inner boxes, each containing Betty Boop filmstrip. Outer box has tiny image of Betty at top center and has some outward warping of side panel and corner tip wear. Fine overall. Inner boxes remain clean and tight w/just even lt. aging. VF/Exc. Films are multicolored paper on wooden spools which were made to be used w/this company's "Uncle Sam's Movie Projector." This is set No. 80 and films include "Betty Boop In Peter And Wendy, ...In She Loves Him Not, ...In Cinderella, ...In The Bullfighter, ...In Beauty And The Beast, ...In Holland." Films appear unused and NM. Old store stock.
