Item Description
Original domestic release 27x41" one-sheet poster No. 77/21-0. Due to the immense popularity of this movie, there were four different printings of this "Style A" one-sheet poster. The first printing (the poster offered here) has the original NSS number of 77/21-0, while the next three printings have the 77-21 NSS number. The first three printings all have "Style A" printed in the bottom border, while the fourth printing does not. In addition, there is both a "domestic" version of the very first printing, and an "international" version of the very first printing (the domestic version has the PG rating and the international has no rating). The poster offered here is a guaranteed original first printing of the domestic version, w/PG rating notice. Soundtrack is mentioned in relatively small print but not the later edition that was produced for record stores. Poster has the appropriate NSS exhibition notice, a sharp and clear GAU and the 1977 copyright is correctly indented. No stray black lines near Luke Skywalker's belt. ©1977 20th Century Fox Film Corp. Great art by Tom Jung, featuring more preliminary design of C-3PO. These posters were released folded and some were rolled. Poster we are offering has been folded (three horizontal folds, one vertical). Some lt. wear along fold lines w/.5" horizontal split at center fold crease intersection. Pin holes at corners w/some handling wear. Top right corner has 1" crease. Fine overall.
