Item Description
1.75 to 2.5" sizes all from the 1980s, all from the Marshall Levin Collection and four of the eight have Levin's documentary notation inked on the metal reverse. The first four relate to Lakota (and other tribes) opposition to mining in South Dakota. The first three carry the name on the front "Black Hills Alliance"  and on the fourth the name is on the curl. Second button has Levin note "TEST" on back (curl has 1.5" hairline cello split) and third has "1983" date. Next four all reference "Big Mountain" Arizona related to government plan to re-locate 11,000 Native Americans to allow strip mining their land. First and third buttons have Levin dates of 1986 and 1987 on reverse. Second button has some tiny age dots and side has flake of cello not tucked under metal back. NM to Mint with two exceptions noted. All limited issues. Comes with Hake's COA.
