Item Description
Group begins with 7/8" tall piece marked on reverse "14K" and with a threaded brass cap. Beautiful design with eagle at top above the word "Washington" against blue enamel and below this are tiny images of two drivers in a white enamel racing type vehicle flanked by large wings and with blue enamel panel below holding the initials of the group Automobile Dealer's Association. Undated but we estimate 1910 or earlier. Next is 4" ribbon badge inscribed in gold "First Auto. Show Baltimore 1906." This is followed by 4.25" ribbon badge with brass shell automobile at the top and a suspended wheel with spokes accented by a ruby red colored stone at the center. Lettering on the ribbon done in Maryland state colors reads "1st Annual Banquet Automobile Club Of Maryland Hotel Belvidere Jan. 8, '08." The next nine pieces are all "Exhibitor" lapel studs from the Automobile Show in Baltimore. These are dated for 1915, 1916, 1918, 1919 (enamel chips and  missing some of the threaded shaft from the reverse), 1921 (tarnished and missing reverse shaft), 1922, 1923, 1924, and 1925. In addition is a  2.5" enamel on silvered metal large oval badge showing a futuristic car and with text "Baltimore Auto World/International Championship Auto Shows/Award Of Excellence." To round out the group are a pair of 1922 and 1928 "Exhibitor" pinback buttons from "Philadelphia Automobile Show." All items Exc. to Mint except as noted. Many rare pieces.
